‘Hope for the Nation’ is an independent organization started in 2007 by a group of young leaders from different churches and backgrounds who came together to organize a Revival Meeting. After many successful events we planned to create an organization which will bring many pastors and leaders together for a purpose.
‘Hope for the Nation’ was officially registered in 2015 and is now managed by a Board of Directors and an incredible Team of International advisors and coordinators from all over Sri Lanka and globally. We strive to motivate, inspire and uplift our fellow brothers and sisters in Sri Lanka. Our aim is to encourage them through our extensive network around Sri Lanka.

The HOPE organization works with Pastors, Evangelists, Teachers and Leaders from all denominations and churches around Sri Lanka. We currently work with and support over 120 Pastors and Leaders and have cordial relationship with over 400 pastors and partnership with all fellowships from 25 districts in Sri Lanka.
The HOPE Team members come from different churches and places with an extensive knowledge in Ministry and Business. Our connections with Pastors Fellowships from around Sri Lanka helps us to reach many independent Pastors and new churches to support and assist them spiritually and financially in a small way possible.
The HOPE Team members are all working voluntarily and tirelessly without any salary or allowance. We wish to take this organization to the next level by fulfilling our vision and mission for the year 2025 and beyond. We are in urgent need of an office and team of fully dedicated servants of God to put in extra effort and time to serve this nation and transform our country.
Sri Lanka, historically known as Ceylon, is an island country in South Asia. It lies in the Indian Ocean, southwest of the Bay of Bengal. It is also called the ’Pearl of the Indian Ocean’.
Sri Lanka has a population of approximately 22 million and is home to many cultures, languages and ethnicities. The Sinhalese people form the majority of the population, followed by the Sri Lankan Tamils. Other long-established groups include the Moors, Indian Tamils, Burghers, Malays, Chinese, and Vedda (Tribal people).
Sri Lanka’s documented history goes back 3,000 years. The Portuguese presence was in Sri Lanka from 1505 to 1658. The Dutch Ceylon existed from 1640 until 1796. The British colonized it from 1815 to 1948.

Sri Lanka’s more recent history was marred by a 26-year civil war between the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam and the Sri Lanka Armed Forces, which began in 1983 and ended in 2009
Sri Lanka is a developing country, ranking 73rd on the Human Development Index. It is the highest-ranked South Asian nation in terms of development and has the second-highest per capita income in South Asia. However, the ongoing economic crisis has resulted in the collapse of its currency, rising inflation, and a humanitarian crisis due to a severe shortage of essentials.
